LIPOGENIX

Lipogenix is a dietary supplement based on plant extracts useful to fight weight gain and facilitate weight loss. The extract of Garcinia cambogia, obtained from its berries, is rich in hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which has proven to be effective as a regulator in the dietary intake of fats and as a modulator in their overall metabolism. Usually, ingested fats have two destinies: either they are stored in deposits, or they are used for energy purposes. The HCA blocks the synthesis of fatty acids (lipogenesis), thanks to the inhibition of the citrate lyase enzyme. The HCA also facilitates an increased release of serotonin in the brain and the simultaneous lowering of the serum levels of leptin, a peptide hormone that modulates appetite, especially by reducing carbohydrates and simple sugars. Green coffee is a blend of classic varieties of unroasted coffee beans (Coffea arabica and robusta), hence the green colour. Unlike classic coffee, it has lower amounts of free caffeine as it is bound to chlorogenic acid, an antioxidant factor. In this form, caffeine is absorbed much more slowly, but its stimulating effect lasts longer. Green coffee is rich in polyphenols, tannic acid, ferulic acid and B Vitamins.

The intake of green coffee has the following benefits:

• Fat Metabolism: thanks to its content of methylxanthines, it has a lipolytic (“fat burning”) action;
• Glycaemic control: the chlorogenic acid inhibits a key enzyme in the process of glycaemic regulation (glucose 6-phosphatase), thus reducing the hepatic process of glycogen transformation into glucose. In the second control mechanism, green coffee acts directly on the intestinal mucosal cells, where it inhibits intestinal absorption of sugar and glucose. For these reasons, green coffee is a valid adjuvant in diabetic subjects.
• Antioxidant function: the tannic and ferulic acids neutralise the action of free radicals.

Lipogenix is indicated as a nutraceutical supplement in case of overweight and the alteration of lipid and glucose metabolism.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Take 1 tablet, 3 times a day, before meals, with half a glass of water.
