BETA-ALANINA

Beta-Alanina is a food supplement designed especially for athletes that can provide valuable help during competitions or training sessions and recovery phases.

Beta-Alanine is a precursor amino acid of some biological molecules involved in fundamental biochemical mechanisms. For instance, the link between the Beta-Alanine molecule and a pantoic acid molecule gives rise to pantothenic acid, better known as Vitamin B5, which in turn enters the composition of Coenzyme A (CoA).

CoA is a metabolic factor crucial in the oxidation of fatty acids and the Krebs cycle. Beta-Alanine helps to enhance endurance and delay muscle fatigue during an endurance sports activity thanks to its stimulation of the Carnosine synthesis.

The latter acts mainly as a buffer, that is, as a substance capable of delaying the onset of lactic acidosis (increase of H + ions) inside the muscle cell.

The use of Beta-Alanine as a supplement is related to its ability to restore and increase the availability of muscle Carnosine and appears to be more effective than Carnosine supplementation itself, which would be less bioavailable for oral use.

Beta-Alanine shows an antioxidant activity giving additional help when performing high intensity workouts.

Beta-Alanine supplementation can cause a slight paraesthesia, a sensation of itching or tingling at the ends of fingers, in the auricles.

This condition is transient and harmless, is alleviated after the start of a physical activity and is reduced with the continued use of Beta-Alanine.

To avoid this type of discomfort, it is advisable to divide its intake into several times a day.

Beta-Alanina is useful in order to prepare muscles to withstand greater resistance to intense effort. It promotes the synthesis of carnosine, which acts as a buffer against muscle acidosis, helping to delay the onset of fatigue.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Take 1 tablet 3 times a day with a glass of water (200 ml). It can be taken before or during a physical activity.
