GLICOGEN

Glicogen is a supplement based on pure glucose, a quintessential monosaccharide, with a glycaemic index of 100, capable of rapidly restoring glycogen supplies and providing immediate energy to deal with any effort under optimal conditions. Since glycogen-produced energy is quick and short-lasting, like some sort of energy burst followed by a sudden fall, it must be used carefully and only when really necessary. Glycogen can rapidly increase the level of sugar in blood (glycemia), but this action is followed by an abrupt drop, even below the usual level. The excess glucose then becomes stored fat and doesn’t benefit a good energy availability.

Its use is ideal in conditions of a hunger crisis and after a physical activity for a rapid energy recovery. The intake of a 15-25 g dose of pure glucose, in combination with creatine, seems to facilitate assimilation of the latter by muscle cells.

CONDITIONS OF USE

For a proper use of the product, dissolve 20 g (1 scoop) in a glass of water (150 ml) one or more times per day, depending on your needs. Its neutral flavour makes it suitable for dissolution even in other liquids, such as fruit juices or solutions of mineral salts.
