FOSFOLIPID PS

Fosfolipid PS is a complete supplement made from phospholipids, the essential components of the cell membrane. More specifically, it is enriched with phosphatidylserine (PS), which is obtained from an extraction process starting from soy lecithin. Phosphatidylserine acts as a messenger between the nervous impulses and facilitates the communication between neurons. It has been widely studied, as it seems to significantly improve mental clarity and cognitive and mnemonic functions. PS is involved in the regulation of the cell life cycle of macrophages, specific cells of the immune system.

Phosphatidylserine seems to contribute to controlling the secretion of cortisol and ACTH (“Cortisol Block” action), hormones which are normally secreted in the presence of signs of physical stress, and which promote the catabolism of glycogen deposits and muscles in order to maintain high energy levels. PS seems to act as a mediator in the secretion of testosterone and parasympathetic neuromodulators, especially by increasing the production of acetylcholine.

It is employed in curing Alzheimer's disease.

Moreover, Fosfolipid contains another rare phospholipid, phosphatidic acid, a molecule which acts as a messenger during important metabolic activities, including the activation of protein synthesis through the MTOR receptor. Phosphatidic acid contributes to maintaining a high elasticity of the membrane and to the synthesis of other phospholipids, such as ilk phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylethanolamine. In general, phospholipids can effectively counteract the fatty deposits in the liver (steatosis), and are useful in the presence of psoriasis and skin alterations.

Fosfolipid PS is indicated as a neuronutrient in case of cognitive deficits, skin alterations, psoriasis, for those subjected to intense stress, such as endurance athletes, who need to improve their resistance to fatigue. Its benefits seem to be associated with its continual intake for at least a couple of months.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Take up to 5 capsules per day, with half a glass of water, after a meal.
