E-FORT

Cold pressed wheat germ oil represents a natural source of liposoluble Vitamin E rich in octacosanol. Several studies confirm that the biological activity of naturally occurring Vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol) is higher than the one obtained by synthesis. Vitamin E is an important factor of cellular protection: it has a significant antioxidant function that neutralises the oxidant action of excess free radicals produced by metabolic alterations, smoking, insufficient rest or unbalanced diet. Free radicals are considered the main cause of premature ageing.

The deficiency of vitamin E is demonstrated by haematological, neural and muscular signs. One of the muscular signs is myopathy, which is demonstrated by a sensation of fatigue. Furthermore, Vitamin E has an immunomodulatory function, it is useful to treat varicose veins and in general in all alterations of the heart and peripheral nervous system as well as in case of retinopathy. In short, it is a precious ally for our health.

During intense physical activity or under stress conditions, Vitamin E, together in a specific synergy with Vitamin C, is the first factor which intervenes in neutralising excess free radicals, and thus ensuring efficient vital functions of the cells. Since Vitamin E is liposoluble, it deposits in fatty tissues, and this is why it should be supplemented for a limited period of time. Wheat germ oil, even in small amounts, also contains Vitamins A, C, D, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, PABA and several minerals. Moreover, it contains octacosanol, which has hypocholesterolemic effects and anti-fatigue function.

It seems that octacosanol improves the deposit of muscle glycogen.

E-Fort is indicated in case of an increased requirement of Vitamin E, especially in situations of particular physical stress, to counteract fatigue and skiing alteration, as an antioxidant nutrient.

CONDITIONS OF USE

It is suggested to take 1 capsule a day, with half a glass of water, during a meal.
