Cold pressed wheat germ oil represents a natural source of liposoluble Vitamin E rich in octacosanols. Several studies confirm that the biological activity of naturally occurring Vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol) is higher than that obtained by synthesis.
Vitamin E is an important factor of cellular protection: it has a significant antioxidant activity that neutralises the oxidant action of excess free radicals, produced by metabolic alterations, smoking, insufficient rest or unbalanced diet. Free radicals are considered the main cause of premature ageing.
Haematological, neural and muscular signs manifest Vitamin E deficiencies.
One of the muscular signs is myopathy, which is manifested in a sensation of fatigue.
Furthermore, Vitamin E has an immunomodulatory function, it is useful to treat varicose veins and in general in all alterations of the heart and peripheral nervous systems and in case of retinopathy.
In short, it is a precious ally for our health.
During intense physical activity or under stress conditions, Vitamin E (together with Vitamin C, with which it has a specific synergy) is the first intervener to neutralise excess free radicals, ensuring efficient vital functions to the cells. Since Vitamin E is liposoluble, it deposits on fatty tissues, and this is why its supplementation should be limited in time.
Wheat germ oil, even in small amounts, also contains Vitamins A, C, D, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, PABA and several minerals.
It contains octacosanol too, which has hypocholesterolemic effects and anti-fatigue action.
It seems that octacosanol improves the deposit of muscle glycogen.
E-Fort is suggested for those with a higher Vitamin E requirement, especially in situations of particular physical stress, to counteract dry skin and other alterations, and as an antioxidant nutrient.
It is suggested to take 1 vegicaps a day, during a meal, for a period not exceeding 2 months. Then stop taking it for at least 1 month before you can resume the cycle.
