Defens is a natural herbal remedy based on plants, which helps to support the immune defenses against the generalized aggression of viruses and bacteria.
It is formulated with titrated and standardized extracts in active ingredients capable of carrying out dierentiated and complementary activities on a broad spectrum.
The particular Thyme extract is characterized by the "DNA Certification" genetic selection of the species.
Defens contains Ekina 3, an extract obtained from a fresh plant that guarantees the presence of some active ingredients including echinacoside, chicoric acid and polysaccharides, with anti-inflammatory, antiviral, immunostimulating properties.
The 3 species of Echinacea (angustifolia, pale and purple) favor the activity of natural killer white blood cells (NK) and an anti-inflammatory cortison like action, capable of suppressing bacterial replication and promoting innate immunity.
Echinacea manifests ecacia towards upper respiratory tract infections.
The presence of Tabebuja or Lapacho thanks to the active ingredients of lapachol and naphthoquinones, has an antiseptic activity against staphylococci and streptococci often responsible for infections of the upper respiratory tract, antifungal and antiviral, in particular against influenza and herpes simplex viruses.
Thanks to the anthocyanosides, the Elderberry extract acts as an antioxidant and immunostimulant capable of inhibiting the entry of the type A influenza virus; it is useful in fighting the cold virus.
Uncaria is another historical plant with a long Amazonian folk tradition; has shown an important anti-inflammatory and immunostimulating activity, thanks to the presence of alkaloids and triterpene glycosides.
Finally, the Thyme extract which, thanks to essential oil rich in thymol and carvacrol, is characterized by a significant beneficial activity on the upper and lower airways, in the presence of cough, cold, laryngitis, bronchitis, to which it acts as an antiseptic and expectorant.
Properties
Defens is suggested as a natural support for enhancing the defence system of the body, and in specific cases of proven deficiency.
It is useful in the presence of diseases of the respiratory tract.
Take 1 capsule twice a day before meals, for cycles of 1-2 months, especially as the cold season approaches.
It is suggested to interrupt the intake for 10 days between the intake cycles.
